The brooch is fully English hallmarked for 9 carat gold and was assayed in Birmingham and the makers mark is “GJ” of whom I am not familiar with. The brooch is in excellent second hand condition with no stones missing and the pin is intact. It is set with sapphires representing the spots of the leopard and has ruby eyes and a diamond set collar. The brooch measures 35mm across x 37mm head to tail and it weighs a heavy 10.1 grams.
