Manufactured in 1979, this authentic USSR cocktail ring features a striking minimalist floral/modernist setting crafted in solid 14-karat rose gold.

The centerpiece is a large, brilliantly faceted synthetic color-change sapphire. Grown via the historic Verneuil method by Soviet state scientists, the stone features a dramatic "alexandrite effect" color shift under different lighting conditions.

Fully stamped on the outside of the band. It features the manufacturer's mark "9Ю" (confirming a 1979 production at the famous Sverdlovsk Jewelry Factory) and the official Soviet State Assay mark consisting of the Cyrillic letter "С", the Five-Pointed Star with Hammer & Sickle, and the "583" purity stamp.

Premium Gold Content: Solid 583 metric gold (equivalent to Western 14K standard) with the highly desired reddish-pink hue characteristic of vintage Russian rose gold jewelry.

The Stone: A round-cut synthetic color-change corundum/sapphire showing an impressive dual-tone nature. Measures 7.3mm diameter

It appears as a crisp grayish-blue under natural daylight and shifts to a vibrant lavender/purple color under warm indoor lighting.

The gold band shows minimal, light surface wear consistent with age but remains structurally perfectly intact. The stone is securely set inside its multi-pronged floral basket mount with no major chips or scratches only a couple of tiny nibbles.
