 You are looking at a desirable and unique older unused Amphenol male 4 pin microphone cable connectors from the 1970's. These vintage model connectors were commonly used on Shure microphones and Electro Voice models as well as several other microphones and cables before the modern XLR cables became the standard. Many older mics were generally 3 and 4 pin screw on type models that had a completely different style of mics today.

 You'll notice right away that this is the gold plated variant. E.V offered a handful of mics in the gold plate such as the 664, 636 and 676 models. This would have been the cable connector sold with those mics so if you need a gold plated 4 pin connector then this will be a pretty good choice for you.

 The actual connector sold is seen in pics # 1 - 5.

 You'll see in pic # 2 this very connector type in an old E.V catalog and shows you the schematic. The plastic connector also shows you which pin is High, Low and ground.

 This was actually an E.V model 4 pin that had the easy adjustable Hi Z & Low Z connection and was the latest style of 4 pin connector before they were finally phased out in 1978 when the standard XLR 3 pin type cable took over.

 Most 4 pin connectors had 4 pins and were soldered in one setting or the other but this unique connector allowed you to move the hot pin to either Hi Z or Lo Z depending on your needs. It was an easy process as you just had to remove the chrome cover by sliding it downwards then opening the plastic black sleeve which exposed the pins within. The whole process would take about 3 seconds to do but as you can see you'll have to build a cable with this connector. That my friends is a process but if you have the time and patience then this connector will work great for you.

 All the parts are included and in very good used condition.

 These will work with the Shure 545, 545S, 565, 565S, Electro Voice 664, 644, late model 630 & 636 to name a few.

 If you don't have the experience or ability to solder then I would suggest saving yourself the time and headache by simply buying a complete cable. 

 It's reasonably priced and will do anybody justice who needs one.
