Up for sale is a 2006 Fender Japan Crafted in Japan (CIJ) '69 Mustang MG69-72 in Black, complete with a non-original hard-shell case.
Built during Fender Japan's highly regarded CIJ era, the MG69-72 faithfully recreates the look, feel, and tone of the original 1969 Mustang. Featuring a comfortable 24" short scale, vintage-style electronics, dynamic vibrato, and classic offset styling, it's easy to see why these Japanese Mustangs have become favorites among players and collectors alike.
Finished in timeless gloss Black with a rosewood fingerboard, this Mustang has the understated vintage look that never goes out of style.
Unlike most Fender Japan Mustangs, which originally came with a gig bag, this guitar includes a non-original hard-shell case. Not only is this a significant upgrade for storage and travel, but it also ensures your guitar will arrive much better protected during shipping than it would in a gig bag.

The MG69-72 captures everything players love about a vintage Mustang. Its pair of Fender Japan MG Vintage single-coil pickups deliver crisp highs, punchy mids, and excellent note definition while maintaining the unmistakable character that has made Mustangs favorites among indie, alternative, surf, punk, and classic rock players.
The traditional Mustang slider switching allows each pickup to be turned on or off independently while also offering unique out-of-phase sounds that simply aren't available on most other Fender models. This versatile switching system gives the Mustang a surprisingly wide tonal palette despite its straightforward appearance.
The Dynamic Vibrato system provides smooth, expressive vibrato while maintaining the classic look and feel of the original 1969 design.
Tone & Feel
The 24" short-scale neck gives the Mustang its signature feel, with lower string tension that makes bends easier, chords more comfortable, and long playing sessions effortless.
The vintage-style pickups produce bright, articulate cleans and plenty of bite when pushed, making this an incredibly versatile guitar for a wide variety of musical styles.
