This listing is for a c.1910 unposted RPPC, divided back postcard of Puerto Rico's "Military Road", which was begun in1848, and completed 50 years later in1898, just as the Spanish-American War broke out. The road spans the Cordillera Central to connect San Juan and Ponce, and was considered the "finest road in the Western Hemisphere" by American forces". The above listed Post Card has no written correspondence on the back, and was never posted. This postcard remains in good antique condition.
