Rare, hard-to-find collector's piece from the post-WWII era. Occupied Japan ashtray with a detailed Western motif including four revolvers and a lasso rope.
Unique Feature: The center features a textured boot footprint, originally designed as a match-strike plate.
Intricate Casting: Unlike many plain export pieces, the underside of this tray features a raised 8-petal flower motif.
Authenticity: The "Made in Occupied Japan" mark is cast in raised lettering on the reverse.
Size: Measures approximately 5 3/4 inches long by 3 3/4 inches wide.
Good vintage condition with character. This is a brass-plated piece with an aged patina and signs of use. Please note there is some slight peeling/wear to the brass plating on the reverse side, consistent with its 70+ year age and use. Please examine photos to your satisfaction. Color and appearance may vary slightly due to device screen settings and lighting.
