Caroline Lucero - Carpio is a Tiwa speaking native of Isleta Pueblo. Thud-Bese meaning Sun Tablita (Sun Halo) is her Tiwa name. Her artwork is a perpetual balance of the traditional and contemporary expression; hand-coil built from natural clay.  Isleta is located thirteen miles south of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
