1943 Louisville Slugger AL All-Star Game Presentation Black Bat

Produced to commemorate the 1943 MLB All-Star Game (held on July 13 at Shibe Park in Philadelphia). These limited-edition "black bats" were specially made by Hillerich & Bradsby for players and executives. Players include Luke Appling, Jim Bagby, Tiny Bonham, Lou Boudreau, George Case, Bobby Doerr, Jake Early, Ken Keltner, Chet Laabs, Dutch Leonard, Tex Hughson, Hal Newhouser, Dick Siebert, Vern Stephens, Dick Wakefield. 35" long. The gold stamping has faded a bit over the years and there is some scratches. There is a vintage nail driven into the knob as well, probably how it was displayed for many years. These don't come up for auction often as they probably only originally made a couple 100-200 of them at most.
