Rare and beautiful Japanese Meiji period (1868–1912) bronze okimono depicting Ebisu, the Japanese god of good fortune, holding a removable crab-catching stick. The crab is crafted in sterling silver, creating a striking contrast with the bronze figure.
This signed okimono is exceptionally well cast with fine detail and outstanding workmanship, retaining its original dark brown age patina. It comes with its original carved wood stand. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
The piece is in excellent condition, with no losses, damages, or restorations.
