The double sunk dial is marked HOWES BROS. - 17 JEWEL SPECIAL - Clinton, IA.

The Howes Bros. were watch inspectors of the Chicago and North Western Railway.

Some surface scratches on the dial but overall in very nice condition for the age.

The movement has not been disassembled or inspected internally.
