Samuel Arlent Edwards (1862–1938) was a British-American printmaker known for his mastery of color mezzotint and aquatint printing, often reproducing 18th and 19th-century portraits. He developed a unique technique of multi-layered color printing, creating soft, painterly effects that closely resembled original paintings by artists like Sir Joshua Reynolds and Thomas Gainsborough.
