1950 Bowman #51 Ned Garver EX (MC) St. Louis Browns Pitcher. Garver was born December 25, 1925 in New, Ohio. He made his MLB pitching debut on April 28, 1948 for the Browns. He posted a 20-12 win/loss record for them in 1951 and was named to the American League All Star team. In August of 1952, he ws traded to the Detroit Tigers. After 5 seasons with them, he was traded to the Kansas City Athletics where he spent 4 seasons. In 1961, he was selected by the California Angels in the expansion draft. He made his final "Big League" playing appearance on June 4, 1961 with them. This card fits into a mid-grade set. The card has NO CREASES and NICE GLOSS. The corners show minor wear.
