The Apple Pencil model A1603 is the original 1st-generation Aople Pencil.  It is a pressure-sensitive digital stylus designed for drawing, note-taking and marking up documents.  It charges via a Lightning connector hidden beneath the top cap.  It works exclusively with iPads that utilise either a Lightning port or specific models requiring an adaptor.
