I have for sale an early to mid-19th century German fraktur painting.
I took the fraktur out of the frame to give you a better view. There are some creases to the paper, a few smaller tears, and some chipping on the edges. However, overall it still displays very well. I've provided nearly (5) dozen enlarged photos below to give you a much more thorough view.
The fraktur comes in a mid-19th century frame, but it is missing the backing, and the glass is contemporary. Also, the paper is adhered to the black backing. You can see an example of this in the second-to-last photo above.
The last name appears to be Elser. A little searching shows the family lived in the Lancaster, PA area.
Size: 11 1/4" x 9 1/8" (Frame) 9 3/4" x 7 5/8" (Fraktur)
