This is a Very Good + Copy of this book bound in Quarter Dark Green Calf over marbled boards with five raised bands to spine and lettered in gilt to red moroccan title label on the second and fourth  compartments to spine.Plain cream endpapers.Complete with 12 b&w white plates by Bryan Hook featuring The Curlew,Greenshank,Heron and Falcons,Teal,Dotterel,Bernacle Geese,Tufted Duck etc.The binding is nice and firm with NO loose hinge joins or pages etc.One partially erased owner's initials to the front endpaper.Lovely and clean internally with just a little light spotting to the frontispiece and title page.It's a handsome copy in a smart leather binding that would grace any bookshelf.This book was acquired from an impressive lifetime's collection of books on Big Game Hunting and shooting in the UK Asia,The Far East,America,Canada,Africa and New Zealand.Great copy for the collector,8vo 326pp First Edition 1st Impression [1895]
