Delivery
Orders for engines that are in stock and for which cleared funds are received before 2:00 pm will be dispatched on the same working day. Payments received after 2:00 pm will result in dispatch on the next working day, subject to stock availability.
Please note that certain payment methods, including international bank transfers and PayPal transactions, may take longer to clear. Delivery times will commence only once funds have been confirmed as cleared by Engine Swap Ltd.
Returns
Engine Swap Ltd operates a 14-day returns policy.
Customers may return an engine within 14 days of the date of delivery for a full refund, less any delivery and collection charges incurred.
To qualify for a full refund, returned engines must remain sealed, unused, and free from any tampering, modification, dismantling, or alteration. Engine Swap Ltd reserves the right to reduce or refuse a refund where these conditions have not been met.
Engine Supply and Installation
Engine Swap Ltd supplies engines to a high standard and carries out testing prior to dispatch. All engines are supplied with an Installation Checklist, which must be read and followed before installation.
Customers must not tamper with, dismantle, or modify any engine supplied by Engine Swap Ltd unless expressly authorised.
Where applicable, engines are supplied with new timing belts or timing chains correctly installed and timed. Any alteration to the timing components or settings may result in engine failure and may invalidate the warranty.
All engines are securely wrapped and protected for transportation. Customers must inspect the packaging upon delivery and notify Engine Swap Ltd immediately if the engine is received without adequate protective covering.
Customers are responsible for thoroughly inspecting the engine for any visible damage prior to signing for delivery. Any damage or discrepancies must be reported as soon as reasonably possible.
Exchange Units and Surcharges
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all engines supplied by Engine Swap Ltd are sold on an exchange basis.
A surcharge payment must be made prior to delivery and will be refunded upon receipt and approval of the customer’s exchange engine unit.
Exchange engines must be returned in substantially the same configuration as the reconditioned or remanufactured engine supplied, consisting of a complete engine block without ancillary components, including but not limited to fuel injectors, pumps, or other accessories. Failure to remove ancillary components may affect the amount of the surcharge refunded.
Exchange units must be in a serviceable and reconditionable condition. Engine blocks, cylinder heads, or other major components that contain cracks, holes, or other significant damage may result in a reduction or forfeiture of the surcharge refund.
Engine Swap Ltd reserves the right to inspect and assess all exchange units upon receipt and determine the amount of any surcharge refund accordingly.
Warranty
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all reconditioned and remanufactured engines supplied by Engine Swap Ltd are covered by a six-month unlimited mileage warranty.
Where Engine Swap Ltd carries out an engine repair, the six-month unlimited mileage warranty applies only to the components that have been replaced during the repair process.
New and reconditioned fuel pumps supplied by Engine Swap Ltd are covered by a six-month unlimited mileage warranty. Used or second-hand fuel pumps are supplied without warranty unless expressly stated otherwise.
As a condition of warranty coverage, all ancillary components must be thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and confirmed fit for use prior to installation. Customers must comply with the Installation Checklist provided.
Diesel fuel injectors must be professionally tested by a qualified diesel specialist before installation. Engine Swap Ltd may require documentary evidence, including diagnostic reports or printouts, when considering a warranty claim.
Oil coolers must be replaced with new units at the time of installation. Failure to replace the oil cooler may result in engine failure and may invalidate the warranty. Proof of replacement, including invoices or receipts, may be requested in support of any warranty claim.
Warranty Claims Procedure
In the event of an engine failure, the complete engine assembly only must be removed from the vehicle and returned to Engine Swap Ltd. The engine must not be dismantled, stripped, or otherwise tampered with, as this will invalidate the warranty.
Upon receipt, Engine Swap Ltd will arrange collection where applicable, inspect and diagnose the engine, and, at its discretion, either repair the engine or provide a replacement reconditioned engine.
Where Engine Swap Ltd determines that the failure is solely attributable to a defect in workmanship or materials supplied by Engine Swap Ltd, a contribution towards labour costs may be made up to a maximum value of £400 per engine.
Limitation of Liability
Engine Swap Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses, including but not limited to loss of earnings, loss of business, vehicle hire costs, or loss of use.
Engine Swap Ltd accepts no responsibility for the failure, malfunction, or damage of ancillary components or systems that are not supplied, repaired, or reconditioned by Engine Swap Ltd.
Nothing within these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit any rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable UK law.
