Special Price for 2024 Production Models!

The 2024 specification model of the "Custom 24-08"—capable of a wide range of tonal variations—has arrived!

Since PRS's inception in 1985, the Custom 24 has reigned as the core model of the lineup, undergoing continuous, subtle refinements. Beloved by countless artists for its perfected sound and playability, it stands as the definitive PRS model.

This latest 2024 version features a change to the tuning pegs: they now utilize new "Wing Buttons," designed with a motif inspired by the "Winged Bird" inlay found at the 12th fret. These buttons are lighter than the previous metal ones; by minimizing the loss of string vibration, they produce longer sustain and a more musical tone. Additionally, the guitar is equipped with new TCI pickups.

The "Custom 24-08" builds upon the Custom 24 by adding two mini-toggle switches for coil-tapping (one for each pickup). This allows for a remarkable eight different pickup combinations—ranging from standard humbucker/single-coil setups to unique configurations like dual single-coils—offering exceptional tonal versatility.

Like the standard Custom 24, this model utilizes the Gen3 Tremolo bridge. While PRS tremolos have long been renowned for tuning stability during tremolo use, the Gen3 takes this further: the bridge plate features grooves where the saddle set screws make contact, and the six saddles are fitted tightly together. This prevents lateral saddle movement, thereby minimizing tuning instability. Furthermore, the bridge mounting screws have a larger diameter, and components such as the saddle height adjustment screws, saddle mounting screws, and the string contact points are left unplated, all of which contribute to rich harmonics and sustain. The onboard TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) pickups were developed with the ultimate goal of capturing the clarity, richness, and musicality of single-coil pickups—a process driven by extensive research into vintage single-coil designs. By first defining the ideal sonic target and then designing a pickup to realize it, these pickups consistently deliver a remarkably pure vintage sound. They produce a musical and captivating tone, offering a versatile range of sounds that spans from snappy single-coil characteristics to the full-bodied nature of soapbars. Approximately 3.51kg
