Very nice military German beer stein. It is made of heavy faceted glass with a pewter lid that has a painted porcelain inset. It is an armorial stein showing armor and shield and a German phrase on the top and German and dating on underside of porcelain lid. See pics. It stands almost 6 inches tall and eagle on handles extends height to 7 inches overall. Measures 3-1/2 inches across at base and 3-1/4 inches rim to outside rim at top of stein. There is some notching - almost looks like it was intended - along the edge of the pewter. It extends along the edge for half of the stein from the handle. I see no cracks or chips. Lid fits well. 

Although it is in very nice condition, please look at pics closely for additional information/condition. Weighs just under 2 pounds unpacked.
