An early milk boulle that is a paraffin coated cardboard box. One side says "MAINE E 5 SEAL" and a dairy W. T. Wright Woolwich, Maine used it to put cream in it. (I have that one listed now). Other side says in part Weis Fibre Container Monroe, Michigan Pat. July 18m 1811 through Nov. 14, 1915, and states it is made from Spruce wood fibre and immersed in hot paraffine. So, this was made about 70 years before cardboard replaced glass bottles. It is in good condition with the cardboard cap. It measures 4 inches tall and 2-3/4 inches square.

NOTE: I am selling my collection of early milk bottles which are all unusual or rare. Mostly tin tops from the later 1800's including one of the very first milk bottles, the Lester Pat 1878 milk jar.
