Rare Elegant Schonborner Bleikristall Vase.

The Schönborner Bleikristall elegant stars cut cranberry vase with a sawtooth top is a highly collectible piece of vintage German art glass. Manufactured by Schönborner Bleikristall Kisslinger GmbH in Germany, these vases are celebrated for their heavy 24% lead crystal composition and masterful "cut-to-clear" craftsmanship.

Color Technique: It features a vibrant cranberry red cased glass exterior layered over a brilliant clear crystal base.

The Cut: The "elegant stars" or starburst patterns are hand-cut deeply into the glass, removing the colored layer to expose the high-clarity clear lead crystal underneath.

The Rim: A jagged, sharply detailed sawtooth (or notched) top edge frames the upper rim, which is a signature element of high-end Bohemian and German crystal work.
