An early 1920-40’s dentsply flatpin facing MOULD GUIDE used as a facing on the Pontic of a gold bridge… the construction of a three unit bridge would be as follows:

1). 3/4 gold crowns on each abutment and

2). Flat pin facing on the Pontic

This technique was not received well over the years as 3/4 gold crown abutment pin retained bridges were very technique sensitive and subject to constant failure especially if the bridge was not adjusted properly in all points of function especially in the case of a functional occlusion bite as opposed to canine protection. This makes the mould guide used for sale here pretty rare… missing two teeth in the display.

An additional photo is added to show pin retained uses as Pontics… this photo is not included in the sale. For illustration purposes only.
