ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Albert Vigil (1927 - 2009) is an acclaimed potter who has been producing beautiful pottery pieces since the 1945. His is the nephew of San Ildefonso matriarch Maria Martinez. With his wife, Josephine Vigil (born Josephine Cordova, 1927 - 2001), he specializes in redware pottery designs in the traditional San Ildefonso style. Josephine coiled and polished the vases, while Albrt painted them.
