SUPERB Vintage Zuni Bear Fetish. This fine hand carved Zuni Native American art piece is hand carved from a large chunk of natural turquoise. The bear carries an arrowhead shaped medicine bundle made of spiny oyster with turquoise and coral accents tied off with blond horse hair.
Look closely at the stunning matrix and bits of quartz and mica in this stone! Wow!
The carving is attributed to Dee Edaakie. The style is characteristic of his work and the initials DE are written in pen on the bottom. We don't know if this was written on the carving by the original collector, shop keeper, or by Dee Edaakie himself. As many Zuni fetishes are unsigned, the initials may have been added at the time of purchase to retain the identity of the carver within a private collection.
MEASUREMENT: Relatively large at approximately 2.25 inches long x 1.5 inches tall. Please refer to photos for exact measurements.

CONDITION: Very Good Condition with a small chip at the tip of the spiny arrowhead. SEE Photos. We also took several photos of the front feet, as the carving is a bit uneven but not chipped. The bear stands straight as long as he's placed on a flat surface.
