West Coast 217 California Dark Green Ceramic Gondola Console Bowl Centerpiece 13"

This sculptural ceramic console vessel encapsulates the essence of mid-century American studio design, showcasing a stylized biomorphic silhouette that emphasizes clean, horizontal lines. Slip-cast from dense earthenware, the body executes a sweeping, elongated S-curve geometry that gracefully flows into integrated teardrop loop handles at each tapering terminal. The exterior is coated in a uniform, glass-smooth forest green mirror glaze that reflects surrounding light across its curved planes, creating deep tonal shadows in the recesses and brilliant highlights along the top edge. The interior architecture is uniquely functional, featuring a circular centerpiece reservoir well designed for floral staging or small potted liners, flanked by two elongated, wing-like side troughs.Measuring an impressive 13 inches in total length, this low-profile accent piece serves as a striking structural focal point for minimalist dining tables, entry credenzas, or floating mantels. The 8.5-inch split-top opening offers a uniform 2.25-inch width, making it highly versatile for contemporary biophilic arrangements like low-growing succulents, moss beds, or cascading vines. The clean, un-textured glaze and organic curves are characteristic of mid-20th-century California art pottery, allowing this authentic piece to stand alone as a sophisticated geometric art object or integrate seamlessly into a modern curated living space.Studio Line: West Coast California Art Pottery Collection
