This centerpiece choker features a large electroformed flower on a necklace of blue-green moonstone beads with sterling silver rondelle separators.
I work for a goldsmith and he gave me a little pile of electroformed pieces -- a mishmash of practice pieces that he acquired from another jewelry who dabbled in the technique. Boss has had this stuff for around 30 years, and he has no idea how old it was when he got it, so the flower is at least 30 years old and probably somewhat older.
The silver rondelles are also recycled from another piece -- one of my own necklaces. It was only about ten years old when I ruthlessly opted to destroy it.
Everything else -- the 6mm blue-green moonstone beads, stringing (done by a professional stringer and not, thanks be to heaven, by me) and the nice sterling silver lobster clasp -- is new.
The necklace is 16" long.
The flower is 2-3/4" wide and tall.
The beads are 6mm in diameter.
There are no marks on the flower but it tests sterling silver; by definition, it's not solid. The flower is partially hollow and partially whatever the silver was dipped in, probably wax. So the flower weighs 20 grams, but I have no idea what the sterling weight is.
