Up for sale is a charming, vintage Inuhariko, a traditional Japanese folk art figurine. Known as a symbol of protection, easy childbirth, and the healthy growth of children, this "papier-mâché dog" features a wonderfully expressive face with large blue eyes and a hand-painted floral saddle blanket.
This piece is adorned with a golden braided cord and a yellow decorative tassel. The vibrant red, pink, and green floral patterns against the white body make it a standout piece for collectors of Japanese Mingei (folk art) or mid-century kitsch.
