An amazing slice of Comedy History!
From the collection of a long time upstate NY record collector friend of Mel Blanc and Moe Howard. This pristine collection of sealed comedy records from the brief period when Cincinnati based King Records jumped on the comedy record bandwagon. These lush gatefold albums filled with gorgeous full color photography.
King Records, the legendary independent label founded by Syd Nathan in Cincinnati, Ohio, is primarily famous for R&B, soul, and country music. However, the label was known for pressing a bit of everything—including spoken-word, novelty, and adult comedy records. While the label's main focus was music, they released a variety of niche comedy and novelty spoken-word albums over their lifespan, particularly through subsidiary imprints like Audio Lab and the main King label. These releases often featured :Party Records: Comedic and suggestive spoken-word records that were popular in late-night clubs but usually barred from mainstream radio.

Blooperama Vol. 1: A 1960s repackaging where Schafer brought his signature collection of broadcast fluffs and radio outtakes to the King catalog.
