Wonderful pair of vintage large calico cat ceramic figurines, made in Japan, circa 1950s. This charming pair includes one standing cat and one seated cat, both with glossy cream, black, and orange calico coloring and striking blue eyes.

They are larger and more impressive than many mid-century Japan cat figurines, with nice molded fur detail, expressive faces, and a bright clean glaze. The pair displays beautifully together and would be perfect for a vintage cat collection, mid-century décor, kitsch display, or animal figurine collection.

The standing cat measures approximately 5.75 inches tall, 6.5 inches long, and 4 inches wide.
The seated cat measures approximately 6 inches tall, 5.75 inches long, and 4.25 inches wide.

They are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The glaze is bright and clean with no crazing.
