Overview:
For sale is our well-maintained BMW X1. We have owned this car for approximately 4 years and it has been highly reliable. The only reason for this sale is that we are moving abroad. I know the mileage might be considered high, but the car drives exactly as it should. It comes with 2 keys, a clear HPI report, and service history.
Key Mechanical Maintenance & Upgrades:
  • Timing Chain & Clutch: The timing chain has been replaced for the second time during our ownership. It was previously fitted with an FAI chain, but after reading bad reviews about that brand, we decided to change it again for peace of mind using a proper, OEM-quality IWIS chain. The clutch was replaced at the same time.
  • Turbocharger: A brand-new turbocharger core has been fitted.
  • Proof: Full proof/receipts are available for the timing chain, clutch, and turbo core work, all completed in January this year.
  • Gearbox & Economy: The car was converted to a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) setup due to a previous gearbox failure. As a result, it is now significantly more fuel-efficient.
  • Brakes: Upgraded to 335i brakes, which are much larger and offer vastly improved stopping power.
  • Steering Pump: Upgraded to a stronger 135bar pump from a 6-cylinder N57 engine.
  • Engine Tuning: It has a Stage 1 remap for better performance and efficiency. Please note: both the DPF and EGR are still fully in place.
Interior & Retrofitted Specifications:
  • Infotainment: Factory-style Satellite Navigation (Sat Nav) with a screen has been retrofitted.
  • Audio: Premium Harman Kardon sound system, fully working Bluetooth audio, and a DAB radio (note: the DAB antenna is not yet connected).
  • Interior styling & Seats: Brown interior door cards have been added. The original front seats remain fitted because they feature fully electric adjustment with memory function , and I could not find matching brown seats with these exact high specifications.
Exterior & Factory Features:
  • Factory M Sport bumpers.
  • Panoramic sunroof.
  • Xenon headlights.
  • Front and rear parking sensors.
  • Electric folding mirrors.
  • 19" alloy wheels fitted with brand new tyres all around (the alloy wheels would benefit from a refurb/refinishing).
