A lot of quilts were discovered in cedar storage of my in-law's estate.
They were all from the collection of Cora Schrock, born in 1900, from Holmes County, Ohio. Also known as "Amish Country". While I do not know the exact dates of all, this listing has 1881 stitched in along with 25 initials and signatures. The lot is from her family heirlooms. One had a handwritten note attached from Cora, citing 1887, and this one was stitched with 1881 and the maker's names. Shared photos include the lot and the initialed 1881 panel. Other quilts are also listed.
This 141-year-old quilt, features a variety of small print designs with an olive-green background, hand-tied, and red border. The backing is a striped flannel, and any marks are from age, not use.
