This artwork was lovingly created by British artist and illustrator Frances Marcellin, who is a longlisted artist in this year's World Illustration Awards. 

It is a trading card-size collectable piece (L = 3.5", W = 2.5") that comes in the form of a greetings card (so the greetings card format size is L = 3.5", W = 5"). She has created these for friends and they have been appreciated, so now she's offering this new format to you.

It comes unframed on 300gsm cold-pressed paper and created using watercolour, pen & ink and Derwent colour pencils. 

This piece is inspired by the view from Frances's studio where she overlooks a beautiful valley in the Tarn across to the Black Mountains (and the Pyrenees). Although there are still green fields around, many are now yellow and crops are growing under the hot sun.

It is listed as no. 503 and comes with a certificate of authenticity and is signed on the back with details of the artwork. 

Frances Marcellin is a British artist and illustrator based in the Tarn, southwest France. She lives with her French husband and four children in a countryside home overlooking a verdant valley, with views of the Montagne Noire and the Pyrenees. In this series, she paints her favourite local landscapes – those that inspire her the most – paying homage to the beauty and tranquility of the French countryside, which led her to move to France (from the UK) and build a life there.
