For auction is this stunning vintage designer Schreiner New York Necklace.
SCHREINER jewelry was started by Henry Schreiner, who had worked before WWI for other jewelry companies, and the pieces were hand made. Known for their high quality stones and unusual color combinations, trademarks of Schreiner jewelry are the reverse setting of rhinestones (point up instead of point down), the hook and eye back construction and the "donut" clips on the earring backs. Large, colorful and eye-catching, these are favorites of most rhinestone jewelry collectors. In Fall of 2020 prices for this maker’s pieces suddenly soared for some reason with brooches selling for $1,000-2,500, and the famous ruffles for $5,000 and over.
This here is a fabulous and very "Rare" exquisite necklace by Schreiner New York. The necklace is just beautifully done in a collar or chocker design set with large, small oval and round shaped Czech foiled back Rhinestones The rhinestones on this necklace are just stunning all dog prong set with a vintage gold tone metal with open back setting, rhinestones are in a yellow to light green tones, you will also find small round chatons throughout.
Schreiner's jewelry although found, are very difficult and rare to find and more difficult to find them signed and in great condition as this one is.
