Up for auction is a beautiful, highly collectible 1930s Art Deco vanity compact with a built-in watch window, manufactured by the renowned Illinois Watch Case Co.
This stunning piece of Art Deco history features a clever "watch-window" design on the outer shell, allowing the time to be read through the cream/ivory enamel cover without opening the compact. Inside, it reveals a complete vanity layout with an intact mirror, a larger engine-turned hinged door for loose face powder, and a smaller compartment for cream rouge or lipstick.
