Velvet Underground & Nico 1968 Andy Warhol Banana Sticker Vinyl LP VG+/VG Verve


This copy is a 1968 pressing, making it a second master pass. Stereo. Verve Records. Produced by Andy Warhol. Gatefold sleeve.


On side one, deadwax reads “V6-5008, Side 1, MGS-558, REV (indicates the second pressing was revised to place “Sunday Morning” on the album)”. Side two deadwax reads “V6-5008, Side 2, MGS-559-RE-1”.


Purchased by seller in 1968. Vinyl is VG+ - no scratches. Outer sleeve is VG - there are no rips or tears, and very little corner wear. Shows scuffing and ring wear (front and back). Cover reads “PEEL SLOWLY AND SEE”, and Andy Warhol signature at bottom. Banana sticker was NEVER removed/no attempts were made to peel. (These stickers were attached by hand, not machine, and once peeled by buyers, they were notoriously difficult-to-impossible to reattach.) Contains original inner sleeve.

-we then stack the record, original inner sleeve and outer sleeve and place all in a new plastic record sleeve.
