All my sticks are all gathered and handmade made by myself Sweet Chariot and with your help I hope to make this a brand with a solid ethos surrounding our most precious resource.

This is the second half of a bow log which did not make the grade but has made 2 lovely sticks.
The first, still currently listed, had a burr well suited for a ball handle. This one has provided the amount of material for a classically shaped Pommel.
The sapwood/heartwood combination is simple but striking and the tapered shape of the top has produced a lovely pattern.
I may create more of a choke on the base of the handle for a better pinch hold but provides a good grip as it is.
This is not a handle shape I've done before and I will be doing it again.
Not the most ergonomic shape but a solid and versatile one none the less.
Rounded on the top for comfort and nicely weighted

The vertical grip is nice and thick and as always is very good at creating a shapely look. This also cuts across the growth rings and enhances the grain beautifully.
This thick buldge also means a nice dramatic taper from top to bottom as well as being a useful feature.

The shaft is nice and straight and very stiff.
Currently at 100cms and a reasonable weight for a dense wood.
There is a slight dive on the grain around midway down which came close to ruining the piece of wood but I was able to spot it early.
Knots make the stick more difficult to build but also never fail to make it more beautiful.

A really nice and striking piece with a handle shape I will aim to create again and all the beautiful refinement I aim for on all my sticks.
Sturdy, stunning and practical.
Once again, a stick which would look at home in town or country

Currently at 100 grit in sanding for oiling and drying. The stick will be detailed, branded, smoothed and waxed on sale.
This process increases the detail dramatically so if you like it now you'll love it when it's done.
I've been told my sticks are much better in person.
