- The dorstenia foetida is somewhat easy to grow. It likes bright light, warm temperatures, regular moisture, and well-draining soil. ***** No shipping to California at this time. ****
- Please fully research plant care. I am not a professional grower. I just love plants.
- These are grown in a green house. They grow faster there but also grow well inside with good lighting.
- Seeds do pop out of the pods, so these are grown in pots and indoors.
- Plants emit a pungent smell when handling them. They can also irritate the eyes a bit, similar to cutting onion. You may want to wear gloves and or goggles. The strong scent is not there when the plant is not being handled.
If there is a problem upon arrival, please take a picture(s) and contact me within 48 hours of its delivery.
The base of the plants are small, although the leaves make them look larger. They are growing in a three inch pot. Some or all leaves may die during shipping. It is shipped with little or no soil.
A sample plant was boxed for seven days in a non-air conditioned dark closet. Some leaves were lost. Recovery was noticed on the third day after opening.
I placed it in lightly watered soil. Not sure if that's what one usually does - research is best.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the dorstenia plant. I like them very much.
