Effective June 15, 1931, Contract Air Mail Route 20 was
extended from Nashville, Tennessee to Fort Worth, Texas via the intermediate
points of Memphis, Tennessee, Little Rock, Arkansas, Texarkana, Arkansas-Texas,
and Dallas, Texas, in order that a shorter and more direct air route might be
provided between the Northeast and Southwest.
This cover was carried on the inaugural Contract Air Mail Route 20 flight from Little Rock, Arkansas to Nashville, Tennessee, and is listed in the Contract Air Mail Flights (CAM) section of The American Air Mail Catalogue as 20E12.
