A vintage 1940-70 Dairy Farm - Hand Written Herd Record ledger in relation to Milk Marketing Board / local government requirements.
Lovely record of social history from a bygone era. This ledger appears to show details of the entire herd owned by a farm in Cheadle Staffordshire Moorlands between the years of approx 1940 to 1970.
The ledger is cloth and leather bound with a label on the spine the says 'MINUTE BOOK'.
So quite an historic piece although appears scruffy on first glance it's actually in pretty good condition throughout and all still very legible. The front board is a little warped.
Many of the pages have what look like submission forms, perhaps copies retained by the farm.
There are also loose papers up front, ive tried to show a selection.
The book itself is 13 inches x 8.5 inches x 2 inches and is nicely bound.
