Antique PRIMITIVE HANDMADE Wood Checkerboard Original Paint Game Board 

Size 14" long x 10 1/8" wide

Squares are hand drawn and hand painted, about 1" square 

Hand applied thick textured paint on a deep oxblood red color contrasting with the natural stained wood color

Border surround is a light salmon color  

Has a hand cut heart cutout at top which serves as a handle or place to hang

2 small holes each side of heart

 A fascinating piece, great for a collector and would look charming out on display. Completely handmade. 

Very good antique condition, would list as Excellent but there is one small 2.25" SHALLOW [almost impossible to feel] vertical scratch through the paint on the right side plus some roughness to the wood surface next to it [just visual, not flaking or unstable], see last 2 pics. No splits or cracks to wood, no damage to paint. 

Made from very old [thin] plywood, which began to be used in the mid 1800s

Highly collectible and one of a kind.
