Vintage and rare 1980s Orla DE49 Flute Expander Midi drawbar organ synth module. Made in Italy. 

Great bit of analogue gear. Made in Italy. Serial number is 001141.

A remarkable bit of kit. Despite the ‘flute’ name, this is in fact a very impressive organ simulator which sounds better than any other hardware unit I’ve heard and certainly way better and more responsive than most plugins.

Real warm analogue vintage rock and jazz sounds. Jon Lord, Keith Emerson, Booker T, Steve Winwood, Billy Preston, Al Kooper, full blown floor shaking Royal Albert Hall pipe organ, etc. All here.

This particular unit is in great condition, with very little signs of wear and all buttons and faders present and correct and doing what they should.

 The basic functions are easy to use: upper and lower "drawbar” faders (which you have to pull towards you to activate. Feels weird, but is actually just like a real organ), buttons for percussion which adds a hit to each note played, chorus and tremolo effects (which give a nice Leslie sound), sliders for sustain and master volume, upper and lower drawbar programme presets and custom presets.

 The MIDI functions allow you to set a split point for the keyboard and chose a MIDI channel to play it. I haven’t changed this setting since I’ve had it, so the upper drawbars are on midi channel 5 and the lower on midi channel 1.

 These things do not come up for sale very often and have a bit of a cult following. Some nice clips on the web of how good they sound.

Fits any standard 9V 500mA power supply.
