Georgian Sterling Silver Vinaigrette Joseph Willmore 1804
A Georgian sterling silver vinaigrette, rectangular in shape, with a hinged lid and perforated inner grille.
The exterior is decorated with a engine-turning pattern and a pierced oval cartouche in the centre.
The interior retains its gilding and the grille is fitted with a perforated foliate design, originally used to hold a sponge soaked in flavoured vinegar.
The hinge on the grille is broken and will need repair.
