An unusual detail: the film was directed by Carlos Hugo Christensen, an acclaimed Argentine filmmaker. Years later, Christensen himself admitted his surprise at being chosen to celebrate Brazil’s most popular hero, taking into account the historic football rivalry between Argentina and Brazil.
