SPARES OR REPAIR.

A bit of a sad story but. Up till two weeks ago this was taking me to and from work with absolutely no issues at all.

Two months ago I serviced it, new oil and all filters, I left the fuel filter change to my local garage ( I know nothing about bleeding common rail diesel engines) two weeks ago they rang and said they had a slot for me so it went in, I had a new gear actuator fitted and the fuel filter done, got home fuel poured out from the filter connector, the pipe clip was not seated correctly,

Since that point car randomly stops and won’t start, engine management light comes on,.

Up to this point the engine was running perfectly, no smoke and used no oil, no funny noises either.

I replaced it with another one last weekend because I cannot be without transport.

MOT November.

Tyres are all 50% plus.

Electric windows and mirrors.

New

Gear actuator.

New battery 4 months ago.

I suspect this will be a simple fix for someone with a knowledge of these cars, I sadly don’t so it’s got to go.
