Roy Clark recorded and released both "Goodtime Charlie" and "Application For Love" in 1963.

They were paired together as an application double-sided 45 RPM single (with "Goodtime Charlie" as the A-side and "Application For Love" as the B-side) for Capitol Records in September 1963.

The two tracks were later re-released together on Clark's 1966 self-titled album (Roy Clark) on Hilltop/Capitol Records.
