Antique sun-colored amethyst glass bottle marked “ONE QT.” and embossed with a “B” on the base, indicating manufacture by Brockway Glass Company, one of the earliest American glassworks to adopt full machine-made bottle production.

This bottle was found in an attic in Church Point, Louisiana, and has turned a light lavender-purple hue due to long-term sun exposure — a natural reaction in glass containing manganese dioxide, used to clarify glass before World War I.

It also glows under UV light, confirming the manganese content, and features a fully machine-made seam that runs through the lip, placing its likely manufacture between 1912–1916.
