Antique women's two-piece suit: a skirt and a cape. USA, 1880-1880. A very beautiful sleeveless cape, a rotunda-shaped manteau. It can be worn without any problems. The fabric is gray-olive wool. The shoulders, back and hem are richly embroidered. The embroidery is done by hand with a narrow soutache ribbon. A very interesting cut, done on the bias, looks beautiful and feminine. The seamstress used a lot of fabric to create this cut. A very interesting flower-shaped collar elongates the neck. The back length is 96 cm. This item can be worn today; it is durable. The lining inside was very worn, and the restorer replaced it with a new one. We have preserved the cut and the label. Size is not specified; it will suit any figure. A taffeta skirt matches the cape. Waist - 75 cm. Length from waist - 101 cm. There is beautiful trim along the hem. There are a couple of small stains, no odor; excellent cleanliness. A museum piece.
