Nothing is bent, broken, or butchered and everything appears to be in excellent used condition.There are some witness marks on the plastic tank/mount. It was obviously mounted however I do not believe it has had a lot of use. I do know that it resided in a large collection for most of its life.
All head fins are intact and in excellent used condition, as are the integral cooling fins and Crankcase generally. The moulded plastic tank/mount is in excellent used condition with the exception that there is some slight “hangar rash,” easily rectified with some plastic polish.
Compression is very good and it does not bleed off if rolled over very slowly. It is not “gummed up” and could be returned to service immediately. However a thorough internal and external clean would be advised.
The glow head does not show connectivity when tested, however a NOS Glow Head is included in this sale. The Reed valve can be heard operating when it is rolled over.
All in all a very honest excellent used example of this 049 from one of America’s most successful model engine manufacturers.
