Discover a piece of history with this beautiful antique Victorian-era photograph album. The album features a distressed leather cover, a decorative metal clasp, and ornate gilded page edges. Inside, it houses 32 original sepia-toned and monochrome portraits, predominantly cabinet cards, showcasing men, women, and children from the late 19th to early 20th century. Many photos bear the marks of prominent Massachusetts photographers such as Pach Bros., Davis & Dow, Newell & Dow, E. C. Kimball, W. M. Smith, and Pemberton, indicating origins in Lowell, Cambridge, Boston, and Malden. This album offers a fascinating glimpse into a bygone era of American portraiture and family history. Perfect for collectors of antique photography, genealogy enthusiasts, or as a unique decorative piece.

The book is an incredible glimpse into Massachusetts history with several men in uniform. The photos were slid out so that we could see where they were from. In its original display condition you can't see the studio names. There could be writing on the back of some items as well, but we are not certain.
