About Philip Straub
Philip Straub's works are purely based on the
fantastic. He focuses on invoking an emotional response from his
images through composition, color, light and subject matter.
For over 19 years Philip Straub has been
creating art for the games, film, and publishing industries. He's author and creator of the acclaimed illustrated Novel, Utherworlds and
co-author of D’artiste Digital Painting. Philip's work has
appeared in over 30 children's books. In the entertainment industry he
has worked with many clients including Mattel, Fisher Price, Disney,
Universal studios, Warner Brothers, DC Comics, and Knowledge Adventure.
He teaches an online Concept Art class to students around the globe
annually.
Philip is a founding member of the CGSociety and regularly
contributes to the illustration and digital art communities by judging
illustration competitions including; The Society of Illustrators,
Painter, Expose, and CG Challenges hosted by the CGSociety.
He's been a featured artist numerous
times in several publications, and on dozens of digital art websites and forums.
Straub has worked with some of the
biggest names in the business and is currently employed by Warner
Brothers as an Art Director.
