Up for your consideration is a vintage Charles A. Keene (New York) gold filled 13.25" pocket watch chain, with a ring on one end and a dog clasp on the other. The dog clasp is signed KEENE 12K 1/20. Inside the clasp, it is marked 10 YEARS. My research indicates that "Charles A. Keene was a high-end jeweler with a shop established in 1881 on what is now lower Broadway in NYC. Keene specialized in fountain pens, watches, jewelry, and diamonds. The company remained in business until 1932, when Charles Keene decided to retire." Thus, it is possible this watch chain is an antique, because it is over 100 years old.

The watch chain measures 13 1/4 inches long, and weighs 4 grams on my all-purpose postal scales.

The watch chain itself in in perfect condition. The ring at one end is damaged; it is no longer round and appears to be missing a section. The dog clasp is intact but appears to have been bent.
